Elliptical Love: Explained. Sort of.

“Sort of” because I’m not actually explaining the content much since poems are meant to be interpreted by each person who reads them. I just wanted to say the following.

The set of poems is based on:

Elliptical Love #3: If You’re Gentle

if you’re gentle

I’ll let you

rip me to pieces
petal by petal

those pretty thoughts
broken and scattered
in marvelous little pieces, more
is less

let me forget
let them know

tear me up and release
a handful

a hand letting go
let the pieces of your heart blow

torn up pieces,
drop them in the river and let them flow
float
drown

ripples in the river
as the teardrops go

go.

“no.”

Elliptical Love #2: Some Other Time

maybe I’ll forget you some other time

maybe

world of uncertainties
lies and lips
and truth and sins
the taste of bad lingering on the scent of your
skin
so close

so far

so tempting, so hard
traces of you,

emptying my mind

rewind

skin
your scent
lingering taste
and sins and truth and
lips and lies

so far so

close

repeat

maybe I’ll forget you some other time

my mind emptying

so close

Elliptical Love #1: We Loved Once

We loved once
and that love is not gone.

Your wind dissipates into the air as you
blow a kiss,
Palm up, lips pouting,
Eyes raining,
Fog passes over, clouds
our minds,
Sun hidden under cotton folds,
Rainbows greyed,
There’s a universe inside of you.
It won’t dissipate with the wind.
Vast,
warm, welcoming,
waiting to be filled

Wind blows.

by me?

We loved once
if only that love was gone.
